Frequently
Asked Questions
Can I come to physical therapy directly or do I need
to see a doctor first?
At this time, a prescription from a licensed physician is needed to start
treatment at Hoeck Physical Therapy, Inc.
How long will it take to get better?
Each patient and each diagnosis is different, making it difficult
to predict recovery time. Average treatment duration is between 8-12 visits.
What do I wear to my appointment?
Shorts and loose-fitting T-shirts are the best clothing to bring
to your first visit. Your therapist will discuss clothing options after
your first visit.
How long will my therapy sessions last?
Average treatment time is 45 minutes to 1 hour, 2 to 3 times a week.
Who will be my therapist each visit?
We pride ourselves on consistent therapist coverage. Baring illness
or vacations, you should see the same therapist each visit.
Do I have to pay my copay?
Yes, your copay is a contract between you and your insurance company
and must be paid each visit.
I have a high deductible. What can I do?
If you have a high deductible you will be asked to make payments
each visit. Your insurance company will not make any payments toward your
claim until your deductible is fully paid.
How will my doctor know how I am doing?
We send progress notes with you when you are scheduled to return
to your physician. We will call to talk to your physician if the need arises.
What happens when I am finished with my treatment
sessions?
When you are finished with your treatment sessions, we will offer
you a return appointment or “courtesy visit” 4-6 weeks after
your discharge. There is no charge for this service and usually takes only
5-10 minutes. You may call and talk to your therapist at any time should
the need arise.
You will be discharged with a home/gym program designed
by your therapist. We encourage your personal trainer
(if used) to contact us to discuss your specific needs and condition.
